Jonathan Pelletier

Jonathan Pelletier is a retired police detective and former supervisor of the Lynchburg (VA) Police Department Crime Scene Unit, now working as a forensic consultant, national instructor, and adjunct professor. A graduate of the Virginia Forensic Science Academy and a Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst (IAI), he has more than three decades of experience advancing crime scene investigation, forensic photography, and evidence documentation in the U.S. and abroad.

His recent work centers on integrating artificial intelligence into modern forensic practice, with a focus on enhancing documentation, pattern recognition, digital evidence processing, and investigative efficiency while maintaining scientific rigor and constitutional safeguards. Pelletier teaches nationally and internationally, positioning him at the forefront of AI driven advancements in crime scene investigation.
